You’ve confirmed your sample, bulk production is complete, and cartons are almost sealed — but before anything ships, your garments go through one final checkpoint: Final QC (Quality Control).
At HEM APPAREL, we take final QC seriously to ensure every piece meets your expectations. Here’s what happens during this last stage of production.
🔍 1. Visual Inspection
Each garment is checked for:
-
Fabric defects (holes, stains, dye spots)
-
Construction issues (twisted seams, poor alignment)
-
Label and tag accuracy
-
Print and embroidery placement
✅ Garments that don’t pass are removed or fixed immediately.
📏 2. Measurement Check
-
Garments are laid flat and measured against the approved size chart
-
A tolerance (typically ±1–1.5cm) is used to allow for slight variation
-
Usually 5–10% of the bulk quantity is randomly checked (AQL method)
✅ Ensures your customers receive consistent sizing across the batch.
🧵 3. Stitching & Finishing
-
Seams are checked for strength and cleanliness
-
Loose threads are trimmed
-
Garments are steamed or pressed to remove wrinkles
-
Final threads, lint, and dust are removed
🏷️ 4. Label, Tag, and Packaging Accuracy
-
Neck labels, care labels, hangtags are verified against tech pack
-
Folding method, polybag type, and size sorting are double-checked
-
Stickers, barcodes, and packaging specs are matched for export or retail
📦 5. Carton Packing & Sealing
-
Garments are sorted by size/style/color as per PO
-
Cartons are weighed, sealed, labeled, and stacked
-
Final carton list and packing slip are created
✅ Ready for shipping via FOB, CIF, or Door-to-Door — as required.
🧠 HEM APPAREL’s Tip:
If you’re working with a new factory or doing a large order, request QC photos or a top-of-production sample before shipment.
We provide photo/video reports and retain 1 sample per style for internal record.
